Feeling the breath of Mother Nature, listening to her whispers, delighting in her touch, marveling at her beauty and bounty - those are a few of the things that I enjoy when I head outdoors. I love to stop in the middle of a hike and just take everything in - the breeze, the scent of the forest, the light filtering through trees, the sound of water as it rushes past boulders or trickles through a brook... I love to close my eyes in a garden and enjoy its perfume, listen to the language of birds, feel the sun on my face and experience joy at simply being alive...
Photographing nature is a process of discovery and rediscovery - season after season, year after year. Every flower, every landscape, every living thing, is beautiful and unique. Capturing and preserving its existence in a given moment, one that is often all too fleeting, is what makes my art rewarding...
